Along with the vaccine batch Vietnam already received on June 16, Japan has donated nearly 2 million doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine to Vietnam.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to receive COVID-19 vaccine aid from Japan, adding that Vietnam is committed to using the vaccines most effectively and quickly.

The Ministry of Health called the delivery of this vaccine batch from the Government and people of Japan very timely to help Vietnam contain the spread of the pandemic.
