(VOVworld)- Various activities will be held to mark the 67th anniversary of War Martyrs and Invalids Day, July 27. At a press conference in Hanoi on Thursday, a representative of the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs said that a conference to honour war veterans, invalids, heroic mothers and heroes of the armed forces will be held in Quang Nam province on next Friday. More than 190 outstanding examples representing 8.8 million people who rendered great service to the nation will attend the event. To mark the occasion, various activities will take place around Vietnam. Duong Minh Do is from the Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs: “We will visit and present gifts to social beneficiaries across the country including centres for war invalids. The Ministry will work with the Youth Union to light candles and offer incense more than 3,000 cemeteries throughout the country on July 16. Localities will also use their budget and donations from enterprises to buy gifts for local social beneficiaries”.
