Winners must meet seven criteria set by the Asia-Pacific Quality Organization which include Leadership role, Strategic planning, Management, and Human resource development.

"Throughout the past 24 years, the awards have honored organizations and enterprises for their remarkable achievements in products and services, operations, and integration into the global economy. The increase of the number of winners year after year promotes the standing of Vietnamese products and services in foreign markets," said Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung, also head of the jury.

Other activities to be held in tandem with the awards will include a display of the winning businesses’ products and a seminar on innovating management systems towards sustainable development.

The awards, which first premiered in 1995, are the Prime Minister’s annual recognition of businesses with outstanding achievements under the banner of the  International Asia Pacific Quality Award.
