5,000 people walk in support of Vietnam delegation to 29th SEA Games

(VOVWORLD) - Some 5,000 walked in Nguyen Hue Walking Street on Sunday in support for the Vietnam delegation at the SEA Games 29 in Malaysia.

SEA Games 29 will be held in Malaysia from 19 to 30 August with the participation of athletes from 11 regional countries, competing in 38 events. Vietnamese athletes will compete in 32 events. Mai Ba Hung, Deputy Head of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture and Sports, said: “The walk will inspire the public's love for sports. Vietnamese people pay much attention to Sea Games and we want to encourage Vietnamese athletes”.
