The national football team is scheduled to gather from Monday and will play two friendly matches, one against Hong Kong (China) on June 15 at Lach Tray stadium (Hai Phong city) and the other against Syria on June 20 at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh province).

Coach Troussier also proposed calling on three footballers who are playing abroad, including Nguyen Quang Hai (Pau FC, France), Nguyen Van Toan (Seoul E-land FC, the Republic of Korea), and Nguyen Cong Phuong (Yokohama FC, Japan).
