As of 6:00 a.m. Tuesday, 3 people were killed and 10 others injured due to storm circulation. The floods have wreaked havoc on agricultural production and infrastructure. More than 6,800 houses had their roofs blown off or were damaged; nearly 29,000 hectares of rice were inundated; 2,200 hectares of crops and 18,000 trees were broken. 6 landslide incidents were reported on rural traffic routes from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri province.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, in the third telegram on responding to storm Kajiki on Monday night, requested that affected localities, especially Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Trị provinces, give top priority to ensuring the safety of people’s lives, evacuating residents from dangerous areas, and providing sufficient food, water, and essential supplies.

The Prime Minister ordered the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Science and Technology to direct Military Region 4 and units stationed in the typhoon-hit areas to deploy necessary forces, means, and equipment, to help locals quickly overcome the consequences of storm and floods.
