After their meeting and dinner on Wednesday evening at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi Hotel, US President Trump tweeted that he had “great meetings” and “very good dialogue” with leader Kim.

President Trump told the press after his one-on-one meeting with Chairman Kim and before their joint dinner on Wednesday evening that the first summit was very successful and this meeting would be equal or even better.

The DPRK Chairman said he had an “interesting talk” with the US President and that the two sides were very patient to hold the event. Mr. Kim said he wants a statement to end the Korean War and proposed closing the Yongbyon nuclear facility, which is believed to be a key of Pyongyang’s nuclear development program.

Experts said a statement on ending the war will be the first significant step towards replacing the armistice agreement with a peace treaty.
