The passengers included the elderly, people who suffer from underlying health issues, students without accommodation, and minors under 18 years of age.

After the plane landed at Van Don International Airport in northern Vietnam, relevant agencies conducted thorough medical examination procedures before transferring the passengers to a concentrated isolation facility in line with the regulations.

Earlier, the Vietnam Airlines flight transported a number of Canadian citizens from Vietnam to their homes.

More flights will be arranged to bring back Vietnamese citizens home from other countries depending on the pandemic's developments, quarantine capacity of Vietnamese localities, and demand of Vietnamese citizens living overseas.
