Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam told the event: “I expect that the publishing industry, inheriting its 70-year tradition, will continue to produce more interesting and beautiful works. We are continuing to build up the value of our thousands of year’s national cultural heritage."

Mr. Dam said that after 5 versions, the organization has learned initial valuable lessons to raise the prestige of the book award, making it a venue for domestic publishers, and hoping for foreign publishers to participate in the future.

Together with other measures such as the Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day, the National Book Award will inspire the reading culture of all Vietnamese.
