The historic event taking place from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the National Convention Center in Hanoi was connected to all educational institutions from preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary school, university to vocational education nationwide.
To ensure that all students can attend the online opening ceremony organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, schools have upgraded their facilities and internet connection.
In Nghe An province, because many schools have been ravaged by storms and heavy rains, the opening ceremony plan was implemented in a compact, safe and practical manner. All schools organized opening ceremonies in sync with the whole country, but flexibly according to the specific weather and facility conditions.
Nguyen Trong Hoan, Chief of Office of the Education and Training Department of Nghe An province said: “For schools that have recently been damaged by storms and floods, we will make inter-school arrangements. Primary schools may hold opening ceremonies with kindergartens. For students that are currently studying at cultural houses, we will arrange an information system for holding opening ceremonies at cultural houses.”
This year's opening ceremony coincided with the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of National Education, the predecessor of the Ministry of Education and Training. This is a pivotal school year, opening a period of strong transformation with the motto "Discipline-Creativity-Breakthrough-Development".
