Doctor Nguyen Tri Dung, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control, updated the public about the situation in the local quarantine areas at a press conference on Friday.

Dung said mandatory testing before leaving the quarantine area is important because, in fact, two cases had been detected that had contracted novel corona virus before returning home.

Although those who have completed the quarantine period are at low risk of suffering from the COVID-19, they are required to be isolated and monitored for the next 14 days.
