(VOVworld) - Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh told reporters that 19 Vietnamese workers had safely left Yemen for Oman. He was speaking in a press briefing in Hanoi on Thursday: “The Vietnamese Embassy in Saudi Arabia and Yemen has kept a close contact with the workers’ representatives, Yemeni relevant agencies, embassies of ASEAN countries, and others to ensure maximum safety for the workers. All 19 workers have been safely transported to Oman as we were updated on Wednesday.”

The spokesman said Vietnam welcomed Cuba’s role in the American Summit in Panama as well as efforts to foster peace, stability, cooperation, and development in America. Binh said Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union have announced their finalization of negotiations last December and look forward to an official signing ceremony in the first half of this year, thus bringing the fine traditional relations between Vietnam and Eurasian Economic Union members to a higher level.
