(VOVWORLD) - Terraced rice fields located throughout the mountain slopes of Mu Cang Chai district in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai represent ideal tourist destinations, particularly in the season of ripening rice.

The end of September and early October is the best time for travel lovers to head to the area and capture the most beautiful landscapes of terraced fields that Mu Cang Chai has to offer.

These fields have been cultivated with great care by the Mong ethnic minority group for several centuries.

2020 saw global travel site Big 7 Travel list Mu Cang Chai in northern Vietnam, a site widely famed for its terraced rice fields, among its 50 most beautiful global destinations.

Terraced fields in La Pan Tan, De Xu Phinh, and Che Cu Nha communes are recognised as national relic sites.

The villages of Lim Mong and Lim Thai in Cao Pha Commune attract tourists with their impressive landscapes.

Mu Cang Chai terraced fields have long been considered to be a must-visit destination for tourists heading to Vietnam's northwestern region.

Trying on ethnic costumes and posing for photos is an unmissable experience for tourists.
