(VOVWORLD) - White wild pear flowers have started to dominate the Quang An flower market in Tay Ho district and on several streets throughout Hanoi, with nearly two months to go until the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.

These days sees the white wild pear trees in full bloom in Hanoi. Locals often decorate their homes with the flowers during Tet holiday.

Wild pear flowers are now being sold along the Nghi Tam dyke in front of the Quang An flower market in Tay Ho district.

White pear flowers are dotting the capital’s streets.

The flowers bloom for about a month, but if given professional care, the blooming time can last as long as two to three months.

The most beautiful wild pear flower branches must have some pear fruits, symbolising prosperity in the early days of the New Year.

According to sellers, wild pear flower trees are typically brought from mountainous provinces such as Lao Cai, Lang Son, and Ha Giang.

Many Hanoians select a branch of wild pear flowers in order to decorate their homes with, particularly as the peach blossom or Kumquat trees tend to fade away during a quite long time of Tet holiday.

Small branches of wild pear flowers are popular among customers who use them to decorate their family’s altar.

Some customers prefer big branches which adorn their living room.
