The hospital is located on 587 Tam Trinh street in Hoang Mai district, with the project breaking the ground in late July. The newly built facility accommodates between 500 and 700 beds and works as an intensive care unit that provides emergency treatment to COVID-19 patients in severe and critical conditions. The building is one part of the plan devised by the authorities of Hanoi to deal with the increase in daily infection cases. Construction on the hospital is completed in just one month and is ready to receive positive COVID-19 cases. The site is being divided into three areas ahead of its launch, one for administration, another for testing and holding medical equipment, and a final area for COVID-19 patients in critical condition. The hospital also has 69 disinfected bathrooms and many green or safe areas. Patients’ beds are fully equipped with modern facilities. Approximately 1,000 medical workers, including 272 doctors and 680 nurses, are mobilised to the hospital. All rooms are equipped with a camera system in order to monitor the condition of patients. The facility is designed to provide treatment for COVID-19 cases in the capital, along with other northern provinces such as Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, and Lang Son. Work is complete on other areas of the hospital, with the number of beds increasing depending on the real situation. Rooms equipped with high-tech devices are now ready to receive patients who require COVID-19 treatment. Supporting equipment system is complete and ready to be used. A meeting room helps to connect the field hospital to other areas through an online platform. The hospital will also be in charge of providing guidance, along with technical and professional support for the resuscitation of COVID-19 patients in other medical facilities.
