Hanoi eateries in green areas allowed to run take-away services

(VOVWORLD) - A number of food business owners in Hanoi’s suburban Gia Lam district are excited at the prospect of running take-away services again after being granted permission to reopen after nearly two months of closure due to the COVID-19 fight.

From 6 a.m Monday, eateries located in 19 of 22 communes in Gia Lam district, all of which are in green areas, are allowed to resume operation.

The majority of owners welcome the most recent decision by Gia Lam district’s authorities.

Cao Van Bay, 35, a resident of in Trau Quy town operates his eatery again as it helps him to pay for his rental house each month.

The owner of a food outlet is busy preparing materials from the early morning.

He receives a number of orders through mobile devices.

Workers are busy packaging sets of meals for take-away services.

Both sellers and buyers wear face masks, maintain a safe distance at all time, and follow the Health Ministry’s safety regulations.

An eatery located on Ngo Xuan Quang street receives 50 orders upon reopening in the morning.

Many eateries remain closed due to not having enough time to prepare for their reopening.
