(VOVWORLD) -The partial lockdown imposed by the municipal administration has made Hanoi’s streets fall quiet at night.

Hoan Kiem lake, one of the most densely crowded places in the capital every night, is left deserted due to the implementation of social distancing measures.

A checkpoint is set up in Hoan Kiem to ensure the restrictive measures are in place in the locality.

A local police vehicle of Quan Thanh ward is on hand to patrol the streets.

No couples, no gatherings, and no exercise activities are permitted around West Lake during the social distancing period.

Absolute tranquility can be seen on Tran Quang Khai street.

Pho Duc Chinh street is empty at 8 p.m.

Restaurants and shops along Kim Ma street remain closed.

Sparse traffic can be seen on Nguyen Chi Thanh street at 9 p.m.

A similar situation can be seen on Dao Tan street.

The road is empty as few people venture out.

Forces are on standby to ensure COVID-19 rules are in effect at night.

Vo Nguyen Giap street falls silent.

The streets are currently soulless, a heartbreaking scene for any lover of the capital.
