A total of 198 IT products, services, and solutions have recently been honored at the 2025 Sao Khue Awards, the 22nd edition of the awards held by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA).

What sets this year’s awards apart is the 1.5-fold increase in the number of nominations compared to last year, a clear evidence of the unwavering innovative drive among digital technology enterprises.

Bui Hoang Phuong, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, said that Vietnam is witnessing the rapid rise of strategic digital technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and big data.

“Government agencies and businesses are well aware that Vietnam is entering a new phase, a new era based on the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Over the years the Sao Khue Awards have supported the strong growth of the IT sector and now play a vital role in driving the nation’s digital transformation forward,” said Phuong.

This year’s entries reflected the broader shift from traditional IT to digital technology, transitioning from standalone software to integrated digital platforms, and from basic support tools to advanced digital solutions. They also demonstrated strong innovation, meeting new criteria such as breakthrough technology, real-world effectiveness, revenue growth, market share, user adoption, and market valuation.

Particularly, AI emerged as a standout focus, with all 54 nominations in the New and Innovative Products category incorporating AI from the earliest stages of development.

A standout example is SAPO Enterprise's multi-channel operation solution, which integrates AI and retail automation. The solution was recognized in the Sales, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Management category for its innovation and practical impact on the retail sector.

Truong To Linh, Director of SAPO Enterprise, a subsidiary company of SAPO Technology Company, said, “Our solution is designed to serve businesses of all types, sizes, and stages of development. We’re proud to have made a meaningful contribution to the market.”

“Looking ahead, we aim to continue innovating and making breakthroughs so our solutions can confidently compete on the global stage,” Linh added.

VINASA data showed that the Sao Khue Award winning companies achieved total revenue of nearly 2 billion USD last year, or almost 20% of Vietnam’s entire software and IT services industry earnings.

VINASA President Nguyen Van Khoa said that Vietnamese tech companies are bringing Vietnamese intelligence to the world. Their honored AI, blockchain, and cloud computing solutions having been incorporated into major contracts in demanding markets like Japan, Europe, and North America.

These achievements have contributed to Vietnam’s economic growth and helped position Vietnam as a digital service supply and innovation center in the region and the world, said Khoa.

The products and solutions recognized at the Sao Khue Awards are more than just technological milestones. They represent strategic contributions to national development in the rising era. They embody the far-reaching impact of the Politburo’s Resolution 57.

“VINASA, in partnership with government agencies, particularly the Ministry of Science and Technology, is working to roll out digital platforms to support one million businesses and 5.2 million business households, helping to accelerate the growth of Vietnam’s private economic sector,” according to Khoa.

Vietnamese digital enterprises are delivering practical products and solutions that help organizations, businesses, and individual entrepreneurs streamline operations, cut costs, boost competitiveness, and enhance their development capacity.

To further support this momentum, VINASA is developing a comprehensive map of Vietnam’s digital technology enterprises to provide a clear, nationwide overview of digital product and service providers, paving the way for faster and more widespread adoption of technology and digital transformation in the near future.
