Notable activities include a program to promote workers’ creativity, dialogues with workers, initiatives to honor workers, campaigns to expand trade union membership, and events to boost workers’ awareness of laws, health, and labor safety.
Ms. Ho Thi Kim Ngan, Deputy Head of the Department of Policy, Law and Labor Relations at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said: “Workers’ Month focuses on caring for trade union members and workers, while encouraging innovation to help achieve the growth target of 8% set by the Party Central Committee. At the same time, it aims to motivate workers’ participation in production and business activities.”
In Thanh Hoa province, home to 375,000 workers and civil servants, trade unions work closely with businesses to improve living standards and work environments.
Mr. Hoang Van Huy, Chairman of the Trieu Son district Labor Federation, said: “We’ve strengthened communications with workers and held dialogues with employers. As a result, all FDI enterprises in the district have raised regional minimum wages above the level stipulated by the state.”
In Hai Phong, thousands of workers took part in races and group exercises. Welfare initiatives and housing support programs were also introduced.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Anh, Chairwoman of the Trade Union at IKO Thompson Vietnam Co., Ltd., said: “The activities of Workers’ Month honor the role of workers and create opportunities for them to improve their health, showcase their talents, and strengthen solidarity among themselves and with their enterprises.”
In the era of digital transformation, workers are also innovators. Workers’ Month 2025 motivates workers to contribute to building a stronger, more prosperous Vietnam.
