Le Ha Minh, Director of the Vietnam EcoGarment Company says that, due to the pandemic, her company’s investment capital and operation have shrunk. The company prepared response scenarios and shifted to producing medical supplies. It is now seeking ways to expand its domestic market and penetrate overseas markets.

'We have diversified our markets and looked for foreign markets. We have contacted partners in Canada and New Zealand. While the overseas market is also affected by the pandemic, demand remains high,' said Minh.

Businesses need effective disease prevention measures in order to maintain their operation. In difficult times like this, a business needs to reform its business model, restructure its organization, and expand training to improve its management and human resources. Nguyen Quoc Hai, Director of the Institute for Economic Training, Consultancy, and Development, says eliminating barriers and reforming administrative procedures will help businesses realize their goals and help the government achieve its dual task of containing the pandemic and maintaining economic growth.

'We need an effective ecosystem and fewer barriers for businesses. Administrative reform will help businesses improve their performance and grow,' said Hai.

The government needs to work out policies and prepare the necessary resources to help businesses recover in the post-pandemic period and grow sustainably.
