The campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style has been a vivid illustration of love and respect for President Ho Chi Minh and his revolutionary path.
A role model of morality, strong will, responsibility
In his Testament, President Ho Chi Minh said when the revolution succeeds, the foremost task is to build and rectify the Party. In a resolution of the 4th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee, the Communist Party of Vietnam set comprehensive measures to reinforce the Party, strictly deal with cadres and Party members for violating Party regulations. A resolution of the 8th plenum of the 12th Party Central Committee continued to underscore the example-setting responsibility to show pride and commitment to following President Ho Chi Minh’s example. Cadres and Party leaders set role models of loyalty to revolutionary ideology, patriotism, serving the nation and people, and fulfilling assigned tasks.
Nguyen Manh Hien, Secretary of Hai Duong province Party Committee, said: “To set an example, one should speak and act together. I always try to do exactly what I say. Our thought and action should put common interests first from personnel work to management, and task implementation. I wish the Party to be strong and the administration to turn words into actions.”
Party promotes example-setting responsibility
Party building and rectification has progressed from studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style to raising the responsibility for setting examples. It has strengthened the dignity of cadres and Party members, the vanguard role of the Party, unity in the Party, and relationship between the Party and people.
Associate Professor, Doctor, Nguyen Trong Phuc of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, says: “Regarding President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament on responsibility for setting examples, each person should follow their conscience and liabilities. If Party members don’t do their work wholeheartedly and passionately, it’s impossible to resolve issues of their leadership. Each agency should work to make their cadres and Party members take greater responsibility for setting example.”
President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career has taught us a lot. The campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style should be done with love in any revolutionary period and in any assignment of cadres and Party members.
