(VOVWORLD) - The Ho Chi Minh City International Music Festival 2022 (HOZO 2022) combined with Hot Air Balloon Festival 2022 opened on Thursday, part of the 2nd HCM City Tourism Week. It’s the biggest outdoor music festival ever held in HCM City.

During the next 4 days, activities will take place from 8 am to 11 pm in two locations: Nguyen Hue Walking Street (District 1) and Thu Thiem 2 Bridge Park (Thu Duc city).

From magnificent settings to extensive entertainment line-ups, it will create a unique experience for festival-goers and help to stimulate tourism in the city.

HOZO 2022 and Ho Chi Minh City Hot Air Balloon Festival boasts the model of a "festival within a festival," with the opening led by the largest Hot Air Balloon demonstration on Thursday.

In the downtown, 20 hot air colorful balloons of different sizes will entertain the crowd from 6 to 9 am daily. Additionally, festival-goers will have the opportunity to sightsee and experience flying in a hot air balloon if weather conditions permit.

The Hozo international music festival will feature camping activities, culinary events, an Art Zone for arrangement artists, art classes for the public and many other activities.

HOZO 2022 will live up to its name by hosting live performances Vietnamese artists Uyen Linh, Văn Mai Hương, Vũ Cát Tường, Đông Nhi, Bích Phương, Ngọt band and Unlimited, and many.

International artists include Kenny Edmonds, a.k.a  Babyface, who has won 12 Grammy awards, Grammy nominee Alastair Moock, Ricky Kej, another Grammy winner and UN Ambassador of Environment, and Johnny Stimson who is famous for his hit song, Smile.

International acts from the United States, Korea, England, France, Spain, and India will also play. For the first time, Michau and Damsan, two virtual idols developed by Pencil Group, will also make their debuts live on stage.

Ms Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thuý, Deputy Director of HCM City’s Department of Culture and Sports said: "The HCM City international music festival is one of 19 outstanding events of the city. The scale and quality of the festival are upgraded to the international standards. In addition to performances by famous Vietnamese and international artists, there will be a lot of entertaining activities at the festival."
