Since last Wednesday, Da Nang city allowed restaurants, shops, and street food stalls to resume operation. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, said that the tourism sector aims to serve tourists in Da Nang and neighboring provinces and cities. Travel companies have developed small packages to serve local tourists.

The Tourism Departments of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong have agreed on plans to resume tourism. During the next few months, Quang Ninh province intends to receive 1.5 to 2 million visitors. Local cafes, restaurants, food stalls, lottery services, and sports facilities like gym and yoga clubs have resumed operation. Tourist sites and religious establishments are receiving local visitors. With gradual relaxation of restrictions, local businesses and employees are resuming their normal activities.

Tran Van Hoang, Deputy Head of the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association, said, 'Boat owners are happy to resume operation. We have prepared plans to ensure health safety of tourists and vehicles and asked boat crewmen and tourists to strictly implement disease prevention measures. We work closely with the local administration to make our destinations safe.'

The Quang Ninh Tourism Department asked travel agencies to develop safe, attractive programs for local tourists and complete plans to welcome tourists from other safe localities during summer vacation. The provincial People’s Committee asked local businesses to strictly implement disease prevention measures, and organize COVID-19 tests for their employees and providers of transport and tourist services.

Pham Ngoc Thuy, Director of the Quang Ninh Tourism Department, said safety remains the top priority in stimulating tourism. Thuy said, 'First of all, we need to ensure health safety. We will serve tourists within the province first and then expand to tourists in adjacent localities like Hai Phong where health safety is ensured.'

By tightening disease prevention measures and gradually relaxing internal restrictions, localities are determined to ensure safety and restore and promote economic and tourism activities.
