Many businesses are shifting their strategies from “business for profit” to achieving the dual goal of maintaining productivity while limiting pandemic risks.

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hue, Director of Communication and External Relations of AEON Company Ltd, said her company has opened more mobile shops and promoted e-commerce to diversify sales channels. Hue’s company is accelerating digital transformation considering it the optimal solution to stay strong in the current context. AEON has upgraded its infrastructure, implemented digital signatures, strengthened its digital business management system, and used cloud computing to manage its transactions with suppliers and customers.

Hue said, 'AEON is changing with a particular focus on skills, database, and creativity. Many companies are preparing skills and database for digital transformation but creativity will help the company win and stay strong for a long time. Creativity will also create difference for the company.'

Phan Duc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management, said that in the current context, businesses need to change toward green production and green consumption and restructure to benefit from government policies.

'The government’s economic recovery stimulus package is aimed at helping business recover and pursue changes. This means the government will provide green support to help businesses recover sustainably. Without changing, businesses will not benefit from the government support. So they are advised to pay more attention to these factors,' said Hieu.

Realizing a government Resolution on safe and flexible adaptation to the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses are promoting their internal strength, changing their strategies to fight the pandemic while ensuring health and safety for their employees and customers to maintain, recover and grow.
