Since the middle of last year, Binh Thuan province has upgraded the embankment of the Ca Ty river and local roads to celebrate National Tourism Year 2023. Youth Union members have been cleaning up roads and beaches, and planting more trees and flowers along the roads and in residential areas.
Thai Thanh Bi, Deputy Secretary of Binh Thuan province’s Youth Union, said: “Responding to the theme “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence”, the Youth Union has organized a “Green Sunday” campaign to mobilize Youth Union members and others to clean up and beautify the area”.
600 artists will perform during the 85-minute opening show, which will have three parts: “Convergence of earth and sky”, "Green Tour", and "Green convergence - Binh Thuan destination of friendship". The opening ceremony will spotlight the local natural landscape of mountains, forests, sea, and islands as well as local culture and customs, and will convey a message of environmental protection, waste reduction, and green tourism development.
Nguyen Minh, Vice Chairman of the Binh Thuan provincial People's Committee, said the opening night will feature a Drone Light Show, a hot air balloon, a paragliding show, and a firework display.
“Binh Thuan province deems it a great honor to host National Tourism Year 2023. As soon as the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism approved the “Binh Thuan – Green Convergence” celebration plan, Binh Thuan allocated resources. There will be many exciting cultural, sports, and tourism events before and after the opening,” said Minh.
During the national Tourism Year 2023, there will be more than 200 events, including the Binh Thuan International Women's Cycling Tournament, the 1st Vietnam Binh Thuan Festival Award, an exhibition called "Vietnam’s marine and island cultural heritage", Binh Thuan Tourism Golden Week, Street Culture Week, the World Performing Arts Festival, the Vietnam International Photography Festival, and the Ninh Thuan-Binh Thuan International Kitesurfing-Windsurfing Tournament.
