Youth Month is observed nationwide to inspire a vanguard, volunteer spirit in young people and mobilize them to participate in new rural building and urban development. Key activities are planting trees, organizing charity work, and helping young people start businesses.

The Youth Union in HCMC has organized a program to establish a center that will support young workers.

Phan Thi Thanh Phuong, Secretary of HCMC’s Youth Union, said: “We’re designing activities to help young workers. When young workers feel supported, they will devote themselves to their work, work harder, and contribute to the city’s growth.”

A Youth Festival held for the first time in HCMC attracted 200 Youth Union members. Themed “New generation - connectivity and sharing”, the Festival provided a venue for young people to connect with others and share their ideas at a photo exhibition and at forums on “Young startups” and “Young city dwellers and the smart city”.

The Youth Union of Hanoi launched a campaign to create 90,000 jobs for young people, plant at least 30,000 trees, collect 15,000 innovative ideas, and organize at least 90 youth projects.

Young people are engaging in disease prevention activities and supporting local health authorities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nguyen Anh Tuan, First Secretary of the Youth Union, said, “Young Vietnamese people are inspired by Vietnam’s prospects, and understand that they need to strive harder to fulfill their tasks in the new period. Trust and aspiration are the forces driving them to realize their goals.”
