A conference reviewing the National Industrial Encouragement Program 2014-2018

At a meeting in Hanoi on Wednesday to review the program’s implementation during 2014-2018, participants said the Program has made social and economic progress in restructuring the economy toward industrialization.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said: “The National Industrial Encouragement Program set 7 targets, including technology demonstration and application to improve industrial and handicraft production in localities. It also aims to raise management capability and product competitiveness. Vocational training and technological transfer have helped to develop traditional craft villages.” 

In order to achieve its targets set for 2020, the Program will focus on technological transfer and application in rural production facilities and improving the capacity of public services to offer rural industry consultation.
