Addressing the launching ceremony in Thai Nguyen province on Saturday, Head of the Ministry’s Information Center, Nguyen Viet Dung, said that the event aimed to raise public awareness among businesses and the society in environmental issues.

“Community activities such as tree planting are necessary to reflect corporate responsibilities in their locations. I hope for more impact on businesses so that they will join efforts in environmental protection,” said Mr. Dung.

Nguyen Phuong Chi, a local resident in Thai Nguyen province, is among thousands of respondents to the campaign for plastic waste minimization. Chi told VOV: “This is an important event to make people understand more about the importance of plastic waste reduction. Tree planting is so important to ensure good air quality for our locality.”
